Bauer Memorial Park

Built in memory of Fred & Lillian Bauer, Bauer memorial park sits nestled on the corner of 403 E. Main St. in Greenville. A favorite spot for college student taking a break from class, as well as residents of Greenville, looking for a little quiet time in the great outdoors. Bauer park offers a picnic table, a wonderful garden, and several large shady trees to sit under. Bauer Park is open sunrise to 10:00 PM. Please click here for more information.

Breehne Park

Located on the corner of West Bowman Industrial Dr. Breehne Park is a popular park within Greenville. Breehne Park offers users a wonder playground, a picnic table, and a portable restroom. Breehne is located next to a large open area in which kids can go run off their extra energy. The land in which Breehne Park sits was donated by Paul & Sherron Breehne. DeMoulin's Museum

Dedicated to the founders, employees, and products of DeMoulin Brothers and Company, the DeMoulin Museum opened in March of 2010. Visitors to the Museum will learn that this factory, founded in 1892, is more than just a manufacturer of band uniforms. You will see rare lodge initiation devices from the early 1900's, vintage lodge regalia, and an array of artifacts. You can also have your picture taken in a 1930 DeMoulin catalog page. Fun in the Park Kits

Planning an outing in the Park but don't have the gear? The Kingsbury Park District has you covered! Stop by the District's Main office and pick up a Fun in the park kit. Our kit includes, 4 Badminton Racquets, 4 Birdies, 1 Badminton net, 1 football, 1 kickball, 1 horseshoe set, and everything needed to play a game of Softball or volleyball!  Please Call the Park Districts Office for more information at (618) 664-4969. Hoiles-Davis Museum

The Bond county Historical Society's Hoiles-Davis Museum provides visitors with a glimpse of the county's heritage through a variety of displays. Displays in 2010 included vintage toys, the Civil War, local schools, unique advertising pieces from Bond County Businesses, artist Carson Donnell, and a tribute to Fred Baumberger. The Hoiles-Davis Museum hosts a pie and ice cream social in late June featuring the Greenville Municipal Band, as well as a ham and bean supper in September. The museum is named for it's major benefactors-- the Doug, Susan, and Jeffrey Hoiles family and the Cornelia Davis Family. Group tours of the museum can also be arranged. Jaycee Park

A few blocks from the Bond County Unit 2, and in the First Christian Church's back door sits the wonder that is the Jaycee Park! Featuring two Baseball Fields, public restrooms, a shelter, and a large playground, Jaycee park is one of the busiest parks in Greenville. Located on 500 Dewey St. in Greenville, IL, the Jaycee park offers a little bit of everything. The Jaycee pavilion offers an ideal spot for any occasion. This 24 x 48 covered shelter, boasts six tables, a large grill, electricity, and close proximity to the play ground. The Jaycee Park is Open Sunrise- 10:00PM. Laura Mollet Park

Located at the intersection of Ivy Street & Vine Street, in Greenville, IL, Laura Mollet park offers users an open green space in the middle of Greenville. This park is ideally located for anyone who would like to play a game of tag or just run off some steam. Close to the William S. Wait Park, Laura Mollet offers a chance for anyone to just be, for a while. Laura Mollet Park is open Sunrise to 10:00 PM. Please click here for more information.

Nature Preserve

The nature preserve, provides all who use it a stunning view of nature. Accessible from 2 points along Iron Gate Trail, is one of the few points of public access to Governor Bond Lake, and offers a hiking trail through the preserve and around the lake, old wooden bridges, and a cabin nestled back in the woods. Miles of hiking and horseback riding are available for those looking for native woods and prairies. The Nature Preserve is dedicated to saving the native grasses and vegetation to the area. Patriot's Park Boat Permits

Calling all Trolling motor boats! All you need is a Boat Permit from the Kingsbury Park District and you are free to launch your boat out on that beautiful lake. Boat permits are valid for the calendar year, and can be purchased at the Kingsbury Park District Office, all you need is your valid boat registration card. We MUST have this card in order to sell you a permit. Please keep in mind that Greenville's Old City Lake is a trolling motor lake ONLY! Patriot's Park Disc Golf Course

Patriot's Park Fishing Derby

In cooperation with the Bond County Bass Club, the Kingsbury Park is proud to bring you our 19th Annual Family Fishing Derby! Bring the whole family out for a day of fishing and family bonding in the great outdoors. Youths age fifteen (15) and younger, should bring their own fishing equipment, although some rods and reels will be available on a first come first serve basis. At least one (1) parent will be needed for every five (5) registered participants! Re-registration is requested and Prizes will be awarded! Mark your calendars for this FREE event! Don't miss the Fun on Saturday June 4th! Registration is from 9:00 AM- 9:30 AM! Fishing starts at 9:30 AM, and awards will be given out at 11:00 AM!

Patriot's Park - Fourth of July

The Bond County Independence Day Festival Association is honored once again to bring you the Fourth of July Celebration at Patriot's Park. Fireworks at the park have been a tradition for a number of years, and with the hard work of the association this tradition will continue for many more! This celebration is fun for the whole family, including bounce houses, games, vendors, and food. The night is capped off by one of the greatest shows in Bond County! Patriot's Park Meeting Room

Are you planning a family reunion? Looking for someplace to get a large group together? Worried about inclement weather? Then the Meeting Room at Patriot's Park is for you! Located on IL Rt.140, just West of Greenville, IL, the approximately 1,500 square foot indoor space is perfect for family get together, birthday parties, or any other event. The meeting room is heated and cooled, comes equipped with tables and chairs for 70 people, and has an indoor restroom, exclusive to those who rent the building. Feeling a little crowded? The meeting room offers a beautiful 30' by 16' outdoor deck attached to the back, overlooking the beauty of the Patriot's Park Lake! The meeting room is ideally located across the street from the Main shelter, with a swing to the East and a large playground to the West. Patriot's Park - Paws in the Park

The Bond County Humane Society is looking forward to once again bringing you Paws in Park! This event is free to attend, and the humane society will have tons of activities. Past years have included Pet contests, Agility Courses, Beauty Contests for Pets, animals available for adoption, concessions, vendors, raffles, and demonstrations! Why not hold your event at one of the Pavilions at Patriot's Park? Our pavilions offer the perfect location for your event or party! What better way to celebrate than be surrounded by nature! Patriot's Park offers hiking trails, a large playground, a lake for fishing, public restrooms, and large open areas perfect for every occasion! Please click here for more information.

Patriot's Park Trout Fishing

What do you see over in the lake? Why the trout have been stoked! That must mean we are getting close to Trout Season! Yahoo!!! Trout season will start the 3rd Saturday of October. No trout may be taken out of the lake until the legal opening date, which is at 5:00 AM. The park's normal opening hours are 6:00 AM Dusk. To participate, anglers MUST have a fishing license and an inland trout stamp, unless they are under sixteen (16) years old, blind, disables, or an Illinois resident on leave from the armed forces. Sadly, once you hook five (5) of those pretty babies in  day, you have hit our catch limit, and have to "hang it up" for another day. Patriot's Park Weddings

Want a beautiful setting for your wedding? Something low maintenance and beautiful? Then Patriot's Park is the answer. Typically, weddings are held in the lake pavilion, with seating for friends and family up the hillside north of the pavilion.  The lake in the background provides a beautiful setting for weddings.  The main pavilion is also an ideal place to hold a reception following the ceremony.  However, if you have another area of the park in mind, we may be able to work with you. Skate Park

 Built in January of 2009, in a joint effort with the Tony Hawk Foundation and several members of the Greenville Community, the Kingsbury Park District was delighted to open Greenville's one and only 5000 square foot Skate Park. Located at the William S. Wait Park, the all concrete skate park boasts several features ideal for the recreational skate boarder. This park features some unique technical setups, for the more advanced skateboarder. The Skate Park is Open Sunrise to 10:100 PM. Please click here for more information.

William S. Wait

The William S. Wait park is centrally located within the City of Greenville. This park is home to the Kingsbury Park District Pool, the KPD Skateboard Park, a Shelter, and a Playground for children. This park sits on a large expanse of land, giving everyone a chance to come spend some time outdoors and let out some steam. This park is also home to the smaller Kingsbury Park District Soccer Fields, and where Flag Football is played in the Fall. This Park remains open year round, Sunrise to 10:00 PM.
