The baby pool can be used from 10:00 a.m. to noon and 5:00pm to 6:00pm Monday-Friday (hour increments only) during swim lessons.  During these times the baby pool will be open for use by children 6 and younger.  People who do NOT have passes pay $1 per adult and children over 3, age 3 and under are free per hour.   Pass holders free.  All children must be supervised by an adult and all other posted baby pool rules apply.  The lifeguard on duty is not responsible to watch the area.  Baby pool patrons who want to stay and swim after lessons are over must pay the regular pool rates or have a pass.

SWIM WEAR FOR INFANTS

The Illinois Department of Public Health is requiring that

“Children, at public swimming pools, who are not toilet trained shall wear tightly fitting rubber or plastic pants.” (Section 820.360 (j) of the Swimming Pool and Bathing Beach Code.)  The Kingsbury Park District will be strictly enforcing this code this year.  Approved swim wear will be for sale on site this year for swimmers who come unprepared. This code is for the protection of all bathers that visit the site

-AGE REQUIREMENTS for open swim:
~Swimmers, age 4 and under, must be accompanied in the water by an individual 18 years of age or older.
~Swimmers, age 5-10, must be accompanied in the water by an individual 15 years of age or older.
~
Adults who accompany the above mentioned swimmers must enter the water with the swimmer.  A maximum of four (4) children may be supervised by one adult.
~Children, age 7-10, not accompanied by an adult must show proof of swimming ability by one of the following:
1. Showing a current Red Cross Level V Certification Card
2. Passing the Kingsbury Park District approved swimming test administered by one of the lifeguards.

POLICY FOR ENTERING AND EXITING THE POOL

Patrons that wish to exit the pool during open swim times must obtain permission from pool staff prior to exiting the pool facility, if they wish to re-enter the pool.  The District has painted a red line at the exit of the facility.  Patrons that cross this line are considered to have exited the facility.  Once a patron exits the facility without permission they may not re-enter unless a parent or guardian accompanies them, and they must stay with them at the facility.  Patrons returning with parent or guardian that possess a pool pass will be able to enter on their pass.  Patrons not possessing a pass will be required to pay the entry fee.

DISCIPLINARY POLICY

Anyone asked to leave the Kingsbury Park District Pool due to a disciplinary problem will also be asked to leave the property surrounding the Pool.  This includes but not limited to the playground, parking lot, soccer fields, shelter, and sand volleyball court.  If a person does not leave after one warning the Greenville Police will be called.

NO WEAPON POLICY

No weapons (guns, knives, etc.) allowed on park district property. If a weapon is on site, the police will be called to handle the matter. The person possessing the weapon will be immediately banned from the pool and surrounding area for the remainder of the season.

PLEASE LOCK YOUR BIKES

The Park District wants to remind all parents whose children ride their bikes to the pool to give them a lock.  The Pool has provided two bike racks for your convenience.  This year we, for safety reasons, will require all bikes to be in the rack at all times whether they are locked or unlocked.  We had several bikes disappear last year and we don’t want your child’s to be next.
