Trout Fishing at Patriot's Park

What do you see over in the lake? Why the trout have been stoked! That must mean we are getting close to Trout Season! Yahoo!!! Trout season will start the 3rd Saturday of October. No trout may be taken out of the lake until the legal opening date, which is at 5:00 AM. The park's normal opening hours are 6:00 AM Dusk. To participate, anglers MUST have a fishing license and an inland trout stamp, unless they are under sixteen (16) years old, blind, disables, or an Illinois resident on leave from the armed forces. Sadly, once you hook five (5) of those pretty babies in  day, you have hit our catch limit, and have to "hang it up" for another day. For more information please contact the IDNR Division of Fisheries at 217-782-6424.
